The Aspire V5-571 is Acer’s latest offering to the 15.6″ notebook market. Finished in a neutral black colour scheme, it provides a 1.7GHz processor in the form of Intel’s Core i5 3317U together with 8GB of RAM and a substantial 500GB hard drive.  Operated by the latest Microsoft Windows 8, the 15.6″ display provides a clear window, and battery life of up to 5 hours means this laptop is suitable for those frequently away from home or the office.  Read on for our Acer Aspire V5-571 review.

The 530U3C is the latest ultrabook from Samsung, aimed to provide a combination of portability and function to the end user.  Crammed into it’s tiny 1.5kg weight and 31.5cm by 21.8cm by 1.5 to 1.8cm depth is an incredible specification -  13.3″ clear display, an Intel Core i5 3317U 1.70 GHz processor, 6GB RAM and 500GB hard drive, all based on Windows 8 Operating System.  Keep reading for our Samsung 530U3C review.

The Samsung 700Z5C is a silver 15.6″ display notebook, running the latest Windows 8, and offering an Intel Core i5 3210M 2.5GHz processor together with a huge 8GB of RAM.  A 1TB hard drive caters for the storage, operating at 5400rpm with 8GB express cache, and audio is provided by two 2W speakers complete with subwoofer.  Read on for more details on this notebook in our Samsung 700Z5C review.

Next up is a 13.3″ 535U3C ultrabook from Samsung – finished in silver, and offering an AMD A6 4455M 2.1GHz processor, 6GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive all running on Windows 8. The most impressive aspect of this laptop is the overall size – 31.5cm by 21.9cm by an astounding 1.5cm – 1.7cm in depth, with an overall weight of just 1.52 Kg. The Samsung 700G7C is a high end laptop, aimed at those with a slightly larger budget – with a retail price of around £1500, it certainly isn’t cheap – however it does offer a great deal of laptop for your money. An Intel Core i7 3630QM 2.4GHz Processor, a massive 16GB RAM, complete with a huge 1.5TB hard drive means this laptop has more power than the majority of desktop PCs – if you need serious computing power whilst out and about, this notebook could be the one for you. Fujitsu isn’t necessarily the first name that springs to mind when looking to buy a new laptop, but with their Lifebook range, they’ve put together a well thought out and pretty well specced series of notebooks. The AH512 continues this trend, coming in the standard 15.6″ size display, and providing an Intel Pentium B960 2.2GHz, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive running Windows 8, for under £350. The Aspire V5-531 is the latest laptop manufactured by Acer, finished in plain black and offering a 15.6 inch display, it features a pretty slim profile at just 2.3cm thick. In terms of specification it provides a solid 4GB RAM, 500GB hard drive and a 1.5GHz Intel Pentium processor in the form of the B987 model. The Toshiba C855-1WC notebook is priced just above the £400 mark, and offers a host of features for the relatively low price tag; a 15.6″ screen, Intel Core i5 – 3210M 2.5/3.1GHz processor, a 500GB 5400rpm hard drive and 4GB of RAM.
